Early Morning Calls and Cozy Homes A Day in HVAC Service

5:30 AM – Rise and Shine

The day starts early in the HVAC service world. After a quick breakfast and coffee, I double-check my service van’s inventory of essential parts and tools. Working at Basin Service means being prepared for anything, especially during the cold Moses Lake winters.

7:00 AM – First Call

The morning begins with an urgent heating system repair in Ephrata. A family woke up to a cold house, and with temperatures dropping below freezing, this takes priority. After diagnosing a faulty igniter and replacing it, their furnace is humming again.

10:00 AM – Scheduled Installation

Next up is a ductless HVAC installation in Othello. These systems are becoming increasingly popular because they:

  • Offer both heating and cooling
  • Provide zone-specific temperature control
  • Save energy and reduce utility bills
  • Install with minimal disruption

2:00 PM – Maintenance Checks

The afternoon involves routine maintenance visits around Moses Lake. Regular maintenance is crucial for:

  • Extending system lifespan
  • Preventing unexpected breakdowns
  • Maintaining efficiency
  • Ensuring safe operation

4:30 PM – Emergency Call

Just before heading back, we get an urgent furnace repair call. Winter weather keeps us busy, but ensuring our community stays warm is what makes this job rewarding.

5:30 PM – Wrap Up

Back at the shop, I restock supplies and file service reports. Another satisfying day of keeping our Eastern Washington neighbors comfortable, no matter the weather outside.

Remember: Regular maintenance prevents most heating emergencies. Don’t wait until your system fails to give it attention!
